Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Hello Jackie,
Thank you for providing the screenshot and explaining the change you noticed.
I tested the same behavior in my environment and was still able to view and select the suggested correction by left-clicking the misspelled word.
Based on this comparison, please try repairing New Outlook on your device:
- Sign out of New Outlook, then close the application completely.
- Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find Outlook (new).
- Select the three-dot menu next to Outlook, then select Advanced options.
- Select Repair.
- Once the repair is complete, restart New Outlook and test the spelling suggestions again.
If the behavior continues, return to Installed apps > Outlook (new) > Advanced options, then select Reset. Please note that resetting the application removes its locally stored settings and app data, so you may need to sign in and configure your account again afterward.
As an additional comparison, please sign in to Outlook on the web using the same account. Create a test email, type a misspelled word, and check whether you can select the correction by left-clicking the word.
Please let me know whether the behavior is the same in Outlook on the web and whether Repair or Reset makes any difference. This additional information will help me better understand the problem.
Kind regards,
