Additional sign-in or account-related issues within Microsoft Teams for business
This block is typically an automated security restriction triggered by unusual activity, repeated sign-up attempts, the network being flagged, or browser/device signals.
Try this in order:
- Stop attempting sign-up for at least 24 hours. Repeated attempts can keep the block active.
- Use a different network. Switch from the current connection to another Wi-Fi network or mobile data.
- Try a different verification path or method if one is offered during sign-up.
- Use a normal browser session, not repeated private/incognito attempts.
- If the block does not clear after 24 hours, wait longer. In some cases it can take up to 1 week.
- Use the Microsoft sign-in helper to identify the issue and available support options: Start
If the goal is to use Teams with another organization as a guest and the account is a work or school account, password reset can unblock a risky guest account if self-service password reset is enabled. Use the Password reset portal. If that does not work, the organization IT administrator must assist.
