I moved some messages to the Notes folder on my Outlook mail app yesterday. Today the Notes folder on the web shows the number 28 but there are no messages visible. The Notes folder on the app has disappeared

Hi @margot gordon

I understand that the Notes folder shows 28 items in Outlook on the web, but the messages are not visible, and the folder has disappeared from the Outlook app.

To narrow this down, could you please confirm:

  • Which Outlook app are you using: New Outlook, Classic Outlook, Outlook for Mac, or mobile?
  • Can you find any of the missing messages by searching All folders using a known subject or sender?
  • Are the messages visible in Deleted Items or under Recover items deleted from this folder?

Once we have these details, we can provide the appropriate next steps.
