Could you check my problem that is no open my file( in HTML_local Version)

Could you check why my HTML_local file is not rendering properly in Teams? It works fine for me, but other users see the HTML source code instead of the rendered page.

The file opens normally for all team members on PC, but when they try to open it on mobile, it either keeps loading in Teams or an error message appears.

What’s even stranger is that even when a team member sends the same file to me, I can open it without any problem, while they still cannot open it themselves.

It’s really strange.

Hi Eric,

This is most likely a Teams mobile limitation rather than an issue with the HTML file itself. Teams does not reliably render local .html files as webpages on mobile, so some users may see the source code, a loading screen, or an error instead.

Since it works on PC, the safest option is to host the HTML page on SharePoint or another web server and share the link in Teams instead of sending the .html file directly.

However, I would like to use the HTML file directly in Teams without hosting it on SharePoint or another web server.

The HTML file opens and works normally in Teams on my device, so I believe there may be a way to modify or configure the HTML file so that it can also be opened properly by other users on Teams Mobile.

Could you please advise me on what needs to be changed or configured in the HTML file, or what other solution is available, to make it work directly in Teams Mobile without using SharePoint or another web server?

In my case, Teams Desktop rendered the page correctly, whereas Teams on iPhone displayed the raw HTML source. When I copied the file link and opened it directly in Safari or Edge, the page rendered correctly. This suggests that the behavior may be related to how the Teams mobile client previews or handles HTML content, rather than necessarily indicating a problem with the HTML file itself.

Affected users / mobile platforms:

iOS: I am using an iPhone, and the HTML file can be opened in Teams. However, the HTML source code is displayed instead of the webpage.

Android: The file either gets stuck on the loading screen or shows a message indicating that the link cannot be found/opened.

Interestingly, the file works normally when opened in Teams on PC.

Based on everything you've shared, along with the similar behavior I was able to reproduce in my own testing, I currently have not found a solution that would achieve exactly what you're looking for: uploading a local .html file directly into Teams and having it render consistently as a webpage for all users across Teams Mobile.

The information we've gathered so far seems to point toward differences in how Teams Mobile handles HTML content rather than a specific issue within the file itself.

Because your requirement is specifically to use the HTML file directly within Teams Mobile, I would recommend opening a Microsoft support ticket. Microsoft Support is in the best position to confirm whether this is an expected limitation, a known issue, or whether there are any supported approaches that are not publicly documented.
