My hotmail works on my desktop and my phone. It locked up on my iPad, I deleted Hotmail and reinstalled using outlook app . My iPad is running IOS 20. Tried everything suggested including Windows support tool. Can’t get my Hotmail account recovered

Don’t know what else to try

    Hi @gordon larkins

I understand how frustrating this is, especially since the Hotmail account still works on your other devices. This suggests that the account itself does not need to be recovered.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas only.

Please try resetting the account in Outlook:

    • Open Outlook > Settings.
    • Select the affected Hotmail account.
    • Select Reset Account.
    • Allow Outlook to restart and resynchronize the mailbox.

Microsoft recommends resetting the account when Outlook displays incomplete data or stops syncing. Reset or refresh Outlook mobile

If Reset Account does not help, please contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
