Hi Kelly,
Thank you for sharing the details of your situation.
The “Can’t sync right now. We’ll try again soon” message indicates that Teams is currently unable to synchronize some information with the Microsoft 365 service. Since clearing the cache did not resolve the issue, the problem may be related to the Teams application, your connection, or a temporary service issue.
In the meantime, here are some steps you can try:
- Select Refresh on the notification banner, if the option is available.
- Completely quit Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and selecting Quit, then reopen the application.
- Sign out of Teams, restart your device, and sign back in.
- Check for Teams updates by selecting Settings and more (...) > Settings > About Teams.
- Try using https://teams.microsoft.com/ to determine whether the issue is limited to the desktop application.
Additionally, if the issue started recently and you are also experiencing problems with Teams calendar, search, presence status, or location updates, it may be related to the ongoing service incident MO1465074.
In that case, please reach out to your organization’s IT administrator so they can monitor the incident status in the Microsoft 365 admin center > Health > Service health. Once the incident is resolved, please restart Teams and check whether synchronization resumes normally.
I hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reply in the comments below.
