Hi, I am attempting to identify if certain events are or could be taking place in a teams channel.

Is there a source of random and anonymised teams channel data which can be utilised to avoid any kind on data privacy challenges? I need samples of 3-6months data on typical business processes, which includes 4-8 team members.

Hi @marc pharoah

To better understand your requirement, could you clarify what specific events or business processes you're trying to detect within Teams channels? Are you looking for anonymized message content, or only activity metadata such as posts, replies, reactions, and file-sharing events?

In case you're looking for a sample Teams channel dataset, there is currently no publicly available source that provides several months of real Teams channel conversation data, even in anonymized form that I'm aware of.

In such cases, customers typically use synthetic data or generate sample activity within a Microsoft 365 Developer/Test tenant to simulate Teams channel interactions for analysis and testing purposes.
