Unable to locate bookmarked conversations within a TEAMS chat

Hi,

I have bookmarked some conversations within a chat to return to at a later date but only able to find them by scrolling through entire chat. Everything I have found on line points to a section where you can see those saved but I do not have those sections available to me and wondered if anyone has any ideas.

Thank you for explaining the problem.Could you please confirm the steps you used to bookmark or save the messages? I would like to check whether you used the Save feature or the Pin feature, as these work differently in Teams.

Based on my test, a message can be saved by hovering over it, selecting the three-dot menu More options (...), and then choose Save this message

After one or more messages have been saved, a Saved section should appear under Quick views near the top of the chats and channels list. This section contains the chat messages and channel posts you have saved. Selecting an item should take you back to that message within the original conversation.

Could you please check whether the Saved section appears on your side, similar to the screenshot I provided? If the layout looks different, please send a screenshot of your Teams chat list and the options displayed after selecting the three-dot menu on a message. Please hide any names, messages, or other sensitive information before sharing it.

Please also try signing in to Teams on the web with the same account and check whether the Saved section appears there.

This information will help me better understand whether the messages were saved or pinned, and whether the behavior is limited to the Teams desktop application.

Yes, I have been clicking on the 3 dots and selecting 'Save This Message' and have done so for several conversations within this particular chat but I do not have what you have advised:

Thank you for the update.

Could you please try changing the chat and channel layout in Teams?

Go to: Settings and more (...) > Settings > Chats and channels

Then select "Separate" and return to the Chat section to check whether Quick views > Saved now appears.

Please also try saving another message by hovering over it, selecting More options (...), and then selecting Save this message. After saving the message, please check whether the confirmation “Your item has been saved” appears.

If the confirmation appears, select "View", as shown in the screenshot, and let me know where Teams takes you and whether the list of saved messages becomes available.

If the Saved section still does not appear, please share a screenshot of the Chat section after changing the layout to Separate, with any private information hidden.

Thank you @Demi Nguyen I followed you instruction and changed the view from Combined to Separate and I can now see quick view above my favourites. I saved a new conversation within a chat, received the message and on clicking View I was taken to Saved where I can now see all saved conversations from different chats.

Thank you so much I would never have figured that out.

I have gone into TEAMS today and whilst the setting remains at Separate instead of combined I can no longer see what I could after this fix yesterday and has reverted:

But if I go into Channels I can see stuff under Copilot:

Would you be able to assist any further?

I went back in to settings and changed to Combined and then back to Separate again and now it is showing again??

It makes no sense but will have to roll with it. Apologies if you have been looking into this for no reason.
