I am unable to quit teams for 5 years. I want to stop paying and no one answers your phone number

I am unable to open invoice and I cannot sign in. It says I need to use a work or school account. I did not set it up with work. Please discontinue the Teams account associated with my email address.

Could you please confirm which Microsoft Teams license/subscription you have? Did you purchase Microsoft 365 Personal/Family, or did you sign up for a Microsoft Teams/Microsoft 365 Business plan?

The cancellation process is different for each scenario.

If you have a Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 Business subscription, the official way to cancel it is to sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and follow the cancellation steps outlined in the guide I previously shared. However, if you receive a message stating that you must use a work or school account, you may be signing in with the wrong account type. The Admin Center requires the business account associated with the subscription, which is often an account ending in .onmicrosoft.com, rather than a personal Microsoft account.

If the Teams benefits you're paying for are included with a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription, you'll need to manage the subscription through your personal Microsoft account at: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Please note that Teams is included as part of Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscriptions, so it generally cannot be cancelled separately. Cancelling the subscription will also end the other paid Microsoft 365 benefits included with the plan.

Could you let me know which Microsoft Teams license or subscription you're trying to cancel? Please share the exact subscription name.
Could you also clarify whether the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft or through a partner/reseller?
In addition, are you still actively using Teams with that account, and are you currently able to sign in to the account associated with the subscription?

While waiting for your reply, since your question is posted under Microsoft Teams for business, I'm assuming the subscription is associated with a work or school account, but it would be helpful if you could confirm that for me, if possible.

This article contains the steps for cancelling a Microsoft 365 business subscription through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, provided you can still sign in with an administrator account that has the necessary permissions.

If the subscription was purchased through a Microsoft partner, reseller, or another service provider, you would normally need to contact that provider directly to cancel the subscription, as they typically manage the billing relationship.
