Good afternoon

I have purchased the 365 family package, This is working, on all my devices. I was able to add one child to the family Safety app. For some reason, the link I send to my second child, it gives me an error. Trying to login with the email link, or with the copied link.

I need to set him up on the family Safety app before he start his school day.

    Use these checks in order:

    1. Sign in with the family organizer account at family.microsoft.com and select Add a family member again.
    2. Enter the second child’s email address or phone number and choose Member, then send the invite.
    3. Make sure the child accepts the invitation from the same Microsoft account that received the invite. The join link prompts sign-in to a Microsoft account before the family group can be accepted.
    4. If the child is under the statutory age, complete the required adult consent step when prompted.
    5. Check whether the child is already in another family group. A member can only belong to one family group at a time, so they must leave or be removed from the current group before joining a new one.
    6. If adding by email keeps failing, and the member is in North America, try adding them by mobile number instead.
    7. Try the same add flow in the Microsoft Family Safety app:
      • Open the app
      • Tap Add a family member
      • Enter the child’s email address or phone number
      • Choose Member
      • Tap Invite to family group
    8. If the child was invited but does not appear, verify the invite was accepted from the correct account alias and check that the account is a personal Microsoft account, not a school or work account.

If the child signs in successfully but still cannot join, the most likely blockers from the available guidance are:

    • accepted the invite with a different account or alias
    • already belongs to another family group
    • adult consent is still pending
    • using a non-personal account

    Hey there, Tiaan Wessels

So that I can try and help you with your question, please can you answer the following questions:

    1. How many invites have you sent out to share the Microsoft 365 Family subscription?
    2. Have you got another organiser on the Microsoft Family group that could be used to send an invite?

Please can you try inviting your other child through the Microsoft Family Safety group here: https://family.microsoft.com

Once you have signed into your Microsoft Family group, please click onto "Add a family member"

    User's image

You can then enter their email address and send the invite to them. If you, as the organiser, have the Microsoft 365 family or premium subscription active on that account, it should share the subscription to everyone who is in your Microsoft Family group.

    Hope this helps,
    Nathan
