    Try this in order:

    1. In Teams, open the assignment and check which button is showing:
      • Turn in again: select this if the assignment was already submitted once and revised.
      • Turn in late: select this if the due date passed but late submissions are allowed.
      • Not turned in: the due date has passed and the educator is no longer accepting work, so it cannot be submitted.
    2. If the assignment was already turned in and needs changes before the deadline:
      • Open the assignment.
      • Select Undo turn in.
      • Attach the updated file if needed.
      • Select Turn in again.
    3. If a file needs to be attached again:
      • Open the assignment.
      • Select +Add work on desktop or Attach on mobile.
      • Upload the file.
      • Make sure the file is no larger than 500 MB. Up to 10 resources can be attached.
      • Then select Turn in or Turn in again.
    4. If this is on mobile:
      • Tap Assignments in the app bar.
      • Open the assignment.
      • Tap Attach if needed.
      • Tap Turn in.
    5. If the Turn in button cannot be selected, the due date may have passed and the educator may no longer be accepting work for that assignment.
    6. If the problem is happening even after reinstalling Teams, and the assignment still will not open or submit, this can also be caused by a Teams Assignments service issue rather than the device or app. In that case, contact the school IT administrator immediately so they can check Microsoft 365 Service Health and report the issue in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center if needed.

    Dear Faustina Georgia C. Nonato,

Based on your description, kindly try to use the browser workaround first, then verify whether the assignment is still accepting submissions.

1> Open Chrome or Microsoft Edge in a private/incognito window.

Go to https://teams.microsoft.com and sign in with your school account.

Open Assignments, select the class, and open the assignment.

    Check the button displayed:

    • Turn in again: Select it to resubmit your revised work.
    • Undo turn in: Select this first, replace or update the file, then select Turn in again.
    • Turn in late: Late submissions are allowed, so select it immediately.
    • Not turned in: The deadline has passed and the teacher is no longer accepting submissions. Only the teacher can reopen or extend the assignment.

If the file is missing, select + Add work, upload it, wait until the filename appears completely, and then select Turn in.

After selecting Turn in, confirm that the screen shows a submission status or animation, then check Grades to verify it was recorded.

2> If the button still does nothing

Download your completed assignment to the device first, then upload that saved copy instead of submitting directly from Word or OneDrive.

Try another browser or device and temporarily change networks, such as switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Confirm that the school account shown in the upper-right corner is the same account enrolled in the class.

Take a screenshot showing the assignment, current time, and error. Email the completed file and screenshot to the teacher before 10:30 a.m., explaining that the submission control is failing.

If the same issue occurs in the browser and app, contact the school’s IT administrator immediately. They should check Microsoft 365 service health and the assignment configuration. How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? | Microsoft Support

In addition, you can also try these steps:

    1> Clear Teams cache

Please follow this article to clear Teams cache. Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

    2> Repair/ Reset Teams app

In Start Menu, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Teams > three dots (...) > Advanced options > Repair,

Followed by Reset if Repair does not help the problem. Repair apps and programs in Windows | Microsoft Support

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
