Sign in is taking me in circles

How is it that I can sign in on my phone but then cannot do it on any other device

Your security protocols are way too ridiculous and way too circular. Having to confirm something with itself makes no sense. Secondarily, I am trying to set up a new PC that I'm about to return and get a Mac because you guys are not doing your job. I need to speak to a customer service representative. There is no reason that you cannot provide this service. I bought a new PC and I'm trying to set it up and it being taken in circles.

    Sorry to hear about your experience using the services. Before we proceed, may I know the details of what happened when you try to set up your computer? A photo of the situation would be a great help, however please remove all personal information before posting.

    If you still want to contact Microsoft live support, please follow these steps.

    • Type Live chat in the search box. 
    • Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or Sign in to contact support below. 
    • Go to the Products and services tab, and choose Other products
    • On the Category tab, choose Billing and Account Profile questions 
    • Go to Confirm. 
    • You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.
