Hello

I bought an Essential Teams subscription, Microsoft created a business account for me with an onmicrosoft.com address but I can't get into this account because the address they provided me is invalid and doesn't exist.

I have tried many times with the help of microsoft to access the account but never succeeded.

How do I open this account?

Thank you

    Hi Shaw,

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've experienced accessing your Teams Essentials account.

Please review the following suggestions, which may help you access the account:

1/ Make sure you are signing in with the correct username

Please check the subscription confirmation, welcome, invoice, and "Get started" emails you received from Microsoft. Copy and paste the sign-in address exactly as provided rather than entering it manually.

A default Microsoft 365 business account username typically follows a format similar to:

    ******@companyname.onmicrosoft.com

An onmicrosoft.com domain is provided as the default domain for Microsoft 365 business accounts.

Please note that the address may function primarily as a Microsoft 365 sign-in name. It is not necessarily an email inbox that can receive messages, particularly with a standalone Teams Essentials subscription.

2/ Verify whether Microsoft Authenticator was configured during setup

During the initial setup of a Microsoft 365 tenant, the first Global Administrator account is often required to register Microsoft Authenticator or another security verification method.

Do you recall completing this step when the account was created? If so, could you also double-check that you are signing in with the correct username?

3/ Try signing in using an InPrivate/Incognito browser window

Cached credentials, saved cookies, or browser extensions can sometimes cause sign-in issues. Opening a private browsing session can help eliminate these factors.

If you still cannot access the account after trying the steps above, I strongly recommend contacting Microsoft Support directly for account verification and recovery assistance: Contact Microsoft Customer Support .

I hope this information helps clarify the situation. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out again. I'll be happy to assist you further.

Thank you for your understanding, and I wish you a wonderful day ahead.
