Hello

I saw that AI gave you the clearing cache instruction. That does NOT delete your Teams chats or files, although some local preferences may be reset.

Microsoft Teams app itself doesn't store data.

Files shared in Teams chats are generally stored in your OneDrive, not in Teams itself. Go to your Onedrive and find this folder to clear them: Microsoft Teams Chat Files

Any files you actually "downloaded" from Teams are usually in your Windows' Downloads folder instead. You will want to delete from there.

On Windows, the steps depend on whether this is Teams Free on mobile or the Teams desktop app.

For the Teams desktop app on Windows, clear the Teams cache:

If Teams is running, right-click the Teams icon on the taskbar and select Quit.
Press Windows key + R to open Run.
Use the path for the version in use:
- Classic Teams: %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
- New Teams: %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
Delete all files and folders in that directory.
Restart Teams.

Note: After clearing the cache, Teams may take longer than usual to start because the cache files are rebuilt.

If the goal is to manage app data and storage settings, that option in Settings > Data and Storage is currently available only in Microsoft Teams Free for iOS and Android, not Windows.
