Hi,
Could you clarify whether the PDF page itself has a different size—for example, A4 becomes Letter—or whether the page size is correct but the worksheet content appears resized or repositioned? These indicate different settings.
Please try the following on the affected worksheet:
- Go to Page Layout, select the small Page Setup dialog launcher, then open the Page tab.
- Confirm the intended Paper size and Orientation.
- Under Scaling, temporarily select Adjust to: 100% instead of Fit to, then check the result under File > Print before exporting again.
Microsoft describes these settings here: Page Setup | Microsoft Support
If the mismatch is specifically between A4 and Letter:
- Go to File > Options > Advanced.
- Under General, clear Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11" paper sizes.
- Export the worksheet again.
That option allows Excel to automatically adjust print output between A4 and Letter standards: Advanced options | Microsoft Support
Also check that the printer selected under File > Print, including its printer properties, supports and uses the same paper size. Microsoft notes that a mismatch in printer paper settings can cause Excel to adjust the output so that it does not match the preview: Scale a worksheet | Microsoft Support
If Microsoft Print to PDF is available, you can select it under File > Print, choose the intended paper size, and compare that PDF with the one created through Export > Create PDF/XPS.
If you are exporting the entire workbook, please verify the Page Setup for every included worksheet, as the settings may differ between sheets.
If the issue remains, please provide:
- The paper size selected in Excel and the actual size shown in the PDF properties
- Whether it happens with all workbooks or only this file
- Your Excel version and build from File > Account > About Excel
- Screenshots of the Page Setup > Page tab and Print Preview, with any personal or organizational information removed
Feel free to reply to this thread with those details.
