I'm making this. Screenshot 2026-08-24 202114. Can anyone tell me what font this is or why it's displaying incorrectly? Is there any way to fix it?

Hello @Carl-L thank you for your reply. I checked C:\Windows\Fonts and Segoe UI files (segoeui.ttf, etc.) open and preview normally, so the font files themselves don't seem to be missing or broken. The bitmap/pixelated text appears specifically on Desktop icon labels and also inside apps like Notepad — but Windows Settings app text looks fine. I already ran sfc /scannow which found and repaired some corrupted files, but the issue persists after restart. What should I check next?

    Hello neo twis,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

As I see, the font seems to be a bitmap pixel font. This doesn't necessary means something is wrong with the apps, but whether it is a missing font or the apps is using this font intentionally. The easiest way to check it is to open the app folder and look for a .ttf or .otf files.

    I'm waiting for your reply.
