Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Spectrum acknowledged a problem with Outlook when I spoke with them on 8/22; they even inserted a recording within their support hold message at the time stating that their engineers were working with MS. The issue appeared fixed on 8/25, all my charter.net email back filled in Outlook and worked. On 8/28 in the afternoon (EST), the system went down again. I called Spectrum today, and after 45 minutes of discussion and hold while the CSR spoke with his "team leader", they gave me the same answer that Karen Rice got, it's a MS issue. They seemed to have contracted corporate amnesia regarding their engineers working on it..., claimed to have no record of their recorded message from 8/22.
This failure is occurring in all my imap accounts, Outlook 2021 classic on Win 10, Outlook 2024 classic on Win 11, and the Outlook app for Android. All the email is updating in the Spectrum portal; no surprise there per EmilyS_726. Further, Gmail is functioning normally in the Outlook classic client programs. Given that MS releases frequent app software updates, it's at least plausible that parts of the issue may implicate both Spectrum and MS.
