    Hi James Monnig

I understand how inconvenient it is when the People page remains stuck on “Loading people” and your contacts cannot be accessed.

    Please try the following steps:

    • Sign in to Outlook.com using the same account and open People. If your contacts open normally on the web, the issue may be related to the New Outlook app.
    • Close New Outlook completely, press Windows + R, enter olk.exe --clearLocalState, and select OK.
    • Reopen New Outlook, sign in again if prompted, allow it to resync, and then test the People page.
    • Make sure both New Outlook and Windows are fully updated, then restart the computer.

As a temporary workaround, you can access your contacts through Outlook.com while testing these steps.

If the issue continues, please confirm whether People opens correctly on Outlook.com and whether Mail and Calendar work normally in New Outlook. This will help determine whether the problem is specific to the app or the account.
