A family of Microsoft relational database management systems designed for ease of use.
Dear William,
As a forum moderator, I am not able to access your database or step into the backend systems to diagnose and fix this for you. My role here is limited to providing general guidance and steps you can apply from your side. To help me narrow this down, could you please share a few more details?
- Do the lines appear incorrectly in Print Preview, or only on the physical printout?
- Does the same problem occur when printing to Microsoft Print to PDF?
- Did this start after changing printers, updating a printer driver, or updating Office?
- Are the lines created using Access Line controls, borders around text boxes, a background image, or a subreport?
- Does it affect only this one report, or others as well?
- Which version and build of Access are you using? You can check under File > Account > About Access.
- Was the report working correctly before, and if so, roughly when did the problem start?
- Is anyone else in your organization seeing the same issue, or does it only affect you?
- Does the issue occur on other computers, or only this one?
- Have you tried opening the report in Design View to confirm the lines are still positioned correctly there?
If possible, a screenshot would also be very helpful, ideally showing the report in Print Preview alongside how it appears in Design View. Please just remember to obscure any personal or sensitive information before posting.
One thing worth mentioning: there have been recent reports of line controls behaving incorrectly in Print Preview on certain Access builds, so the version number in particular would be useful to know.
Once I have a clearer picture, I will do my best to help further from there. Looking forward to your reply.
