How Can I Search Outlook Contacts by Company Name?

I’m using the new Outlook and recently noticed that I’m unable to search for contacts by company name in the Contacts section.

Currently, I have to sort the contacts by company and manually scroll through the list to find the contact I need, which is quite time-consuming.

I searched online for a way to search contacts using the Company field, but I couldn’t find a clear solution.

Is there a way to search Outlook Contacts directly by company name in the new Outlook? If this feature is not currently available, is there any recommended workaround?

    Dear @Steve Austin,

Based on your description, you are using New Outlook and want to search for contacts by "company name," but the search results based on that field are not displayed. The New Outlook supports contact search from the "People" view, and according to Microsoft's documentation, the search box allows users to find contact information such as names, phone numbers, and company names.

Here is suggestion you can try:

    • Open [People] from the menu on the left side of the new Outlook.

    User's image

    • Select the search box at the top of your contact list.
    • Enter your company name (or part of the company name) and check if that contact appears in the search results.

For your reference, as a workaround Find people and contacts, you can edit contacts, enter information (using company name, etc.) in the "First Name" or "Last Name" field, save the contact, and wait for Outlook's search index to update.

I hope the above information meets your expectations. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out.
