Sometimes Teams attachment transfer fails in Windows 10 or 11 environments

When using Teams on Windows 10 or 11, if you send files via the attach button, file transfers do not work properly. Currently, I am temporarily transferring attachments by dragging them from File Explorer to attach files, but due to this issue, sometimes the transfer does not work when searching for and transferring files from OneDrive. I would appreciate it if you could check this first.

    Hi @Ward Cecilia

I understand that when using Teams on Windows 10/11, file transfers do not work properly when using the Attach button, while dragging files from File Explorer works as a temporary workaround. The issue can also occur when searching for and attaching files from OneDrive.

To narrow down the issue, could you please check the following:

1.Check the exact symptom or error

    • When the transfer fails, does the upload remain stuck, fail immediately, or does the file disappear after being selected?
    • Is there any error message? Please provide the exact message or a screenshot if available.

    2.Test a local file

    • In Teams, select Attach > Upload from this device and choose a small file from the local computer.
    • Check whether the upload completes successfully.

    3.Test a OneDrive file

    • Use the Attach button to search for and select a file from OneDrive.
    • Check whether the issue occurs only with OneDrive files or also with local files.

    4.Test Teams on the web

    • Open Teams in a browser and try attaching the same files.
    • If the upload works on the web but fails in the Windows desktop client, this will help narrow the issue to the Teams desktop client.

    5.Check the Teams client version

    • In Teams, go to Settings and more (...) > Settings > About Teams and note the Teams version.
    • Please provide the version/build from an affected device.

Please review the steps below and let me know the results. This will help me provide more accurate recommendations.
