Outlook keeps changing my calendar event dates

On our family Outlook calendar when I add events especially recurring events, I will save the event and when I go back in, it automatically changes the dates one day backward or forward. Even after fixing it and saving it, it will change it again. I have used Outlook with my work account in the past and never had this problem.

    Hi Revjco

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this, especially after repeatedly correcting the dates. Since the issue affects your Outlook.com family calendar and is most noticeable with recurring events, please first check whether Outlook and every device used to edit the calendar are set to the same time zone.

In Outlook.com, open Settings > Calendar > View > Time zones, then confirm that Display my calendar in time zone shows your correct location. Also verify the automatic date, time, and time-zone settings on your computer and mobile devices. Outlook stores calendar times in UTC and displays them according to the selected local time zone, so inconsistent settings may cause an event to appear on a neighboring day.

Next, create a temporary event directly on Outlook.com and check whether its date remains correct. If the event changes only in the Outlook app, update the app and remove and re-add the Outlook.com account to refresh its calendar data.

For recurring events that continue to shift, delete the affected series and create a new one rather than repeatedly editing the existing series. When recreating it, set a specific end date or number of occurrences. Please test an all-day event as a timed event as well to determine whether the issue is limited to all-day events.

If the dates still change when events are created and viewed directly on Outlook.com, please let me know which Outlook app and device you are using, the selected time zone, and whether the affected events are all-day events.
