I have been trying for the last week to find out how i got signed up for a business Teams account!!, I have a personal account that i can access, and when i look under subscriptions, i cant see that i have a subscription open, but they just billed me for a subscription that i am trying to cancel, it says i have to be a admin, and the only account that i am aware of is my personal account??????? I hope this makes sense, because im just so pissed i dont feel like i am relaying this correctly.

ok, le me see if i can simplify it, i got an email saying my Microsoft Teams was renewed.

i looked in my personal account, and there are no subscriptions

so apparently, i must have signed up for a business account at one time, but i dont have the log in or password to access that account, therefore i cant cancel it

I dont know how this happened or how i signed up for it, but i must have, (not computer savvy, so im sure i screwed something up

So how do i get into something i know nothing about, but i did get the renewal email???

I cant seem to get anyone except a automated thing, and they keep referring me to someone else and nothing has helped????????????

Now What??????? If someone could help me i would so so appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi LaRosa,

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your experience.

As this is a user-to-user support forum, I’m not part of the Microsoft billing team, so I don’t have the ability to directly cancel subscriptions or intervene on billing matters. That said, I truly hope I can help review your situation, offer some guidance, and support you in finding the right next steps as best as possible.

Based on what you described, the main issue is that your Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 subscription may still be active, which is why invoices are continuing to be generated. However, because you are unable to sign in to the account or Teams environment, you may not be able to cancel the subscription yourself through the normal account or admin portal.

Since I’m not able to cancel the subscription directly on your behalf, the best next step is to contact Microsoft Support so they can verify the billing account, confirm ownership, and assist with the cancellation.

As you mentioned that you cannot access the environment, please contact Microsoft Support through the Contact Microsoft customer support | Microsoft Support (Work account)

Please include as much of the following information as possible:

    • Invoice number
    • Email address receiving invoices
    • Tenant domain, if known
    • Subscription name
    • Billing account ID, if shown
    • Payment method details, such as the last four digits
    • Any sign-in error message
    • Whether the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft or through a reseller/partner

This information will help Microsoft locate the subscription and verify ownership so they can advise on cancellation or billing next steps.

I hope this helps move the case forward. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.
