Accessing Recorded Teams Meeting with Teams free

In Microsoft Teams Free, meeting recordings are available from the meeting or call chat after the recording is processed.

Steps:

1. Open Teams.
2. Open the Chat for the meeting or call.
3. Look for the recording link in that chat.

Supported locations and limits:

• For recorded calls, the recording link appears in the Chat for that call.
• Recordings are saved to OneDrive.
• If external participants were in the meeting, they can’t view recordings unless the recording is shared with them.
• If the meeting was organized by a Teams for work or school user and joined with a personal Teams account, the recording file is not available directly to the personal participant. Access must be requested from the meeting organizer.

If the recording was for a channel meeting in Teams for Education, the link can also appear in the channel conversation, and the file is stored in the channel’s SharePoint Files > Recordings folder.
