Hi @logeswari S,
As suggested by the AI response, instead of using the "Repair Now" button that appears when Excel or Word crashes, please try repairing Office through Windows Settings. You can follow Microsoft's instructions here: Repair an Office application | Microsoft Support
If possible, I recommend going directly with Online Repair, as it is generally more thorough than the repair option presented when the application crashes and can resolve issues with missing or corrupted Office files.
In addition, I'd like to suggest another troubleshooting step. If the issue remains, test the applications in Safe Mode:
- Press Windows + R.
- Enter
excel /safefor Excel orwinword /safefor Word.
If the applications open successfully, the issue may be caused by an add-in. In that case, disable the add-ins under File > Options > Add-ins > Manage: COM Add-ins > Go, then restart the application normally.
If that doesn't help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Office.
As a temporary workaround during troubleshooting, you can also try using Excel for the web or Word for the web.
Please give these steps a try and let me know if you have any updates.
