Microsoft Teams: Custom AI summary

At this time, there is no direct feature available to configure AI Summary to generate customized summaries based on specific requirements and apply them across the entire tenant.

However, based on my research, although there is no built-in feature to accomplish this, you can use Power Automate to build an automated workflow that meets your requirements:

• Retrieve the meeting transcript.
• Send the transcript to a predefined AI prompt.
• Generate a report based on your desired template.

Since my current support scope is primarily focused on Microsoft 365 products, while your request relates to Microsoft Power Apps/Power Platform, I want to ensure that you receive the most accurate and effective assistance. Based on your description, I understand that you would like to customize the Recap Summary content.

This feature is currently supported.

To customize a Recap Summary, you can follow these steps:

1. Open a meeting chat in Teams.
2. Select Recap.
3. Select Custom summary.

If you would like to create a template for your Recap Summary, you can follow these steps:

1. Open a meeting chat in Teams.
2. Select Recap.
3. Select Custom summary.
4. Select Create template.
5. Describe your preferred summary format in the text box, or choose one of the suggested prompts under Suggestions.
6. Select Preview to see how your Recap Summary will look with the selected format. If you would like to try a different template or format, select Discard.
7. To save your format for future use, select Save and Apply.
8. Enter a name for your template and select Save.

If the meeting is part of a recurring series, your Recap Summary template will be remembered for future occurrences, and summaries will automatically be generated using that format.

Your saved templates will appear above your customized Recap Summaries, such as the "Daily sync" template.

Tip: In the summary format text box, you can paste an example of your preferred format, and the system will generate summaries that follow the same structure.
