Good morning,

New to the Azure realm, I am looking for the mechanism that Microsoft sends out notices beside just clicking within Azure and getting notices like this. Had my employee not clicked here, we wouldn't have known about this deadline.

Azure Data Lake Storage
Azure Data Lake Storage

An Azure service that provides an enterprise-wide hyper-scale repository for big data analytic workloads and is integrated with Azure Blob Storage.

Hi Leslie,

You are referring to Dynamics 365 Export to Azure Data Lake, correct? For this I would recommend you join Fabric/Synapse Link for Dynamics community as described in article below (there is a link to join Viva Engage community):

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/azure-data-lake-ga-version-overview#how-can-i-stay-in-touch-about-upcoming-features

Additionally, I recommend you ask your question in one of the Dynamics 365 community forums, so that you get best answer:

https://community.dynamics.com/

Please note that while there is overlap and you might see relevant notices in Azure portal, it really isn't the best place for information related to PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365. Even though these use Azure resources they are treated separately and have different communication/support channels from Azure itself.

Please click Accept Answers and upvote if the above was helpful.

Thanks.

Service retirement and deprecation notices are part of Health Advisories within Azure Service Health. Microsoft categorizes upcoming service shutdowns, API deprecations, and feature removals under this specific bucket. Furthermore, Azure Advisor actively parses these notices and surfaces them under its "Service Upgrade and Retirement" subcategory. By turning on alerts for Health Advisories and Advisor rules, your designated email list will receive push notifications regarding feature sunsets affecting your specific resources.

To configure Azure Service Health alerts, first sign in to the Azure portal. In the search bar at the top of the portal, search for Service Health and open the service. From the left-hand navigation pane, select Health alerts, then click + Create service health alert. Under the Condition section, choose your active Azure subscription. For Services, select Select all. Although this includes every Azure service, Azure only sends notifications for services that are actually associated with your subscription, so selecting all services helps ensure you do not miss important updates without generating unnecessary alerts. Next, select Select all under Regions, making sure the Global region is included. Finally, enable the Health advisories and Planned maintenance event types so your organization is notified about service changes, deprecations, and scheduled maintenance activities.

After configuring the alert conditions, proceed to the Actions tab to create an Action Group. An Action Group defines who receives the notifications and through which communication channels. Click Create action group, assign it a meaningful name such as Cloud-Admins-Email-List, and then open the Notifications tab. Select Email/SMS message/Push/Voice as the notification type, enable Email, and specify the email addresses of the appropriate administrators or your organization's distribution list. This ensures that all relevant personnel receive notifications whenever Microsoft publishes a health advisory or planned maintenance notice.

Finally, navigate to the Details tab and provide a descriptive name for the alert rule, such as Critical Azure Service Changes Email Alert. Review the configuration, confirm that the selected conditions and notification settings are correct, and click Review + Create to deploy the alert. Once created, Azure Service Health will automatically notify the configured recipients whenever Microsoft announces relevant service advisories, planned maintenance events, or other important changes affecting the Azure services used by your subscription.

If the above response helps answer your question, remember to "Accept Answer" so that others in the community facing similar issues can easily find the solution. Your contribution is highly appreciated.
