Hi everyone,
I am having trouble signing in to my Google account in Edge. I use a Yubikey to login. The login fails without Edge even opening the security key dialog. I have no idea why it is doing this. I can confirm it works in Firefox and Vivaldi.
I get the following in Edge when trying to log in.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

I think there is a bug if you have to many google accounts stored in Windows Hello Passkeys.
I can usually work-around the issue by manually typing in the name of the google account into the first dialog box rather than selecting a passkey from autofill passkey menu.
Hope this works for you.
I am experiencing this, too. As chapb implies, CTAP2 works. However, CTAP1 and and caBLE do not work on version 152.0.4191.53 (I believe CTAP2 is the only one of the three that is routed directly to webauthn.dll). This is problematic as the google auth flow kicks you back to CTAP1 if you have a phone registered as a passkey but want to use a yubikey to authenticate instead. I have a few more observations:
If CTAP1 has been fully depricated in Edge, that certainly wasn't adverised, but caBLE doesn't work either, and given 5) and 6) I doubt this is a server-side issue, so I believe this is a regression.
I am experiencing the same issue.
Using Edge (brand new install), while signing in to Google using the default login flow (username, password), I immediately get a failure using a security key or a passkey (no prompt to interact with the security key or enter my pin for the passkey). My security keys work for Google in Firefox, and in Edge for the Yubico test (I get the prompt).
I think it may be on Google's end or something to do with Edge's autofill settings.
To bypass, I used Firefox to create a passkey for my device. I wiped user data and deleted my Edge profile. When I went to the Google login, Edge offered to login with the passkey. I initially declined and went through the default login flow. There, Edge also immediately failed again for both my security keys and passkey. But when I went back to the start of the Google login flow and allowed Edge to auto-fill/login with a passkey it worked.
Later, I signed back into my Edge profile (which disabled Edge's password and passkey autofill). I could no longer bypass the default login flow with the auto-fill/login. I enabled Autofill passwords and passkeys and was able to use Edge to auto-fill/login with the passkey.
TLDR: Issue with prompting for interaction in default Google login flow with both security keys and passkeys. But, other login flow with a passkey may work.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
If you guys can share your Edge version, Windows version, and whether the issue started recently, that may help identify a common factor. It would be great if everyone could submit feedback through Edge > Help and feedback > Send feedback and include diagnostic data where possible.
So that the corresponding team can have a look.
I also had the same issue - started happening a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't find a solution so had to switch to Chrome for anything that needs a Google login. I tried all the work arounds above to no success.
