Restore Deleted Calendar

Alert showed up in calendar. Thought it was spam. Would not let me decline invite and get out of. Accidentally deleted calendar trying to get rid of it. How do I recover calendar on iPhone. Calendar is also no longer in laptop.

I hope you got it worked out already. If not, I had the same issue just today, saw your post as well, and hoped it's not too late to help. Thanks to answers in this thread and the help of gemini, I was able to get it recovered on my own, after the microsoft support team totally failed to do so.

First, if it is an entire calendar that you deleted, then checking Deleted Items and Recoverable Items anywhere will not help.

Next, if you're on Windows, great. Open (or download) Outlook (classic), it's the only one that works. Go to your navigation bar on the far-left, click the three dots at the very bottom (or check inside More Apps, the icon with four squares, as suggested gemini), then click Folders.

From there, you'll be able to find your deleted calendar, and place it back to Calendar.

Meanwhile, if you are on Mac like me, and happen to have no Windows PC at hand, one extra step: get the Parallels Desktop app, install a Windows system (10 for intel macs and 11 for apple silicon macs), activate Parallels' 14-day free trial, and run the Windows (inside Parallels). All this to get you to Outlook (classic), the only place where the deleted calendar could be found (no, Outlook on Mac on Legacy mode does not work).

Try these recovery paths in order:

Check whether the calendar is only hidden
- In Outlook Calendar, look in the left pane under My Calendars and any calendar groups.
- If the missing calendar is listed, select its checkbox to show it again.
Check Deleted Items for the deleted calendar
- In Outlook, change to Folder view.
- Look under Deleted Items for the deleted calendar as a folder.
- If found, right-click the calendar, select Move Calendar, and move it back to Calendar.
Recover deleted calendar items or meetings
- In new Outlook: select Deleted Items > Recover items deleted from this folder > select the item > Restore.
- In Outlook on the web: open Deleted Items > Recover items deleted from this folder > select the items > Restore.
- Restored calendar items go back to the calendar when possible.
If a meeting or series disappeared rather than the whole calendar
- Open Deleted Items.
- Look for the missing meeting or series.
- Move it back to Calendar.
On iPhone, if calendar sync is the issue
- Delete the mail account from iPhone and add it again as Exchange.
- If the account was added as IMAP, calendar sync will not work correctly for Outlook calendar data.

Important details:

If this is the primary calendar, it may be hidden rather than actually deleted.
If this was a secondary calendar that was deleted and it is not in Deleted Items, it may need to be recreated.
If the deleted items are no longer in Deleted Items, recovery may still be possible from Recoverable Items.
