Calendar synchronization lost between New Teams and classic Outlook

Hello,

One of our users has lost the synchronization of her calendar between New Teams and classic Outlook (2021). We use Exchange 2019 on-premise. The synchronization works fine for other users. The calendar is correctly synchronized between Outlook and webmail.

It does not seem to be an account issue : she is logged in with the same account on both softwares. The Teams add-in for Outlook is correctly enabled. If she logs out from Teams, then relog in and then start Outlook, still no synchronization.

And when I schedule a Teams meeting fromthe Outlook calendar, it does not synchronize with the Teams calendar.

Does somebody see anything else to try?

Regards,

Damien

    Hi @Damien

Based on your description, I understand that a single user is experiencing a calendar synchronization failure specifically between New Teams and classic Outlook 2021 in an Exchange 2019 On-Premise environment, while Outlook-to-OWA sync functions normally and other users are unaffected.

Since OWA synchronizes properly, the mailbox data itself is healthy. The issue is most likely tied to EWS connectivity, local client caching, or authentication token routing between New Teams and Exchange.

You can run through these high-level troubleshooting areas:

    Client-Side Checks

    • Reset and clear the New Teams application cache.
    • Remove stored Office and Teams credentials from Windows Credential Manager.
    • Reinstall the Teams Meeting Add-in for Outlook.
    • Re-create the user's Outlook profile.

    Exchange 2019 Server-Side Checks

    • Verify that the User Principal Name (UPN) matches the Primary SMTP Address.
    • Confirm that Exchange Web Services (EWS) is explicitly enabled for this mailbox.
    • Test EWS URL accessibility directly from the user's browser.

    Authentication & Diagnostics

    • Audit the OAuth token status and Hybrid Modern Authentication (HMA) configurations for this account.
    • Run Autodiscover and EWS tests via the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer.

    I hope this information helps.
