I push wifi configuration from intune, the setting will push wifi profile to auto connect.

Currently i assign to all devices and now i want to exclude from a group.

When we modify the assigment scope to exclude the group-A for example then the existing wifi profile will be removed for all devices under this group? Or the profile will be keep on the devices?

Yes. If the Wi-Fi profile is no longer applicable because the device is removed from the assigned scope, the Wi-Fi profile is removed from supported enrolled devices.

    For the scenario described:

    1. If Group-A is added as an exclusion on the Wi-Fi profile assignment, devices in that excluded group no longer receive that profile.
    2. Because Wi-Fi profiles are one of the profile types that are removed when the profile is deleted or no longer applicable, the existing Wi-Fi profile is removed from those devices.
    3. If the assignment is user-based, and a user is removed from the assigned group or becomes excluded, removal can take up to 7 hours or more after the assignment change and device sync cycle.
    4. On Windows devices, after removal or unassignment, have the Microsoft Entra user sign in to the device and sync with Intune, because CSP behavior can vary.

So the profile is not kept on excluded devices as an assigned Intune Wi-Fi profile.
