Azure for Students verification failed because my university email domain is not recognized

For verification related to your school domain, you need to reach out to your school’s IT department to double-check the issue.If they have already registered but the issue still remains, they can also help you contact Microsoft Support, as they are the ones authorized to manage the school tenant.

Alternative Sign-Up via GitHub: If the standard sign-up process is not working, consider signing up through the GitHub Student Developer Pack. This can be used to verify your student status and access Microsoft student offers.

Besides, I recommend contacting Azure for Education Support and providing screenshots showing the error message together with the Azure portal page showing no active subscriptions.

However, during academic verification I receive the following message: "Your email domain is not currently registered with us.

I haven't see this exact error before when helping folk with signing up to the Azure Students subscription. However, this may be due to the university you are studying at not being registered on Microsoft's database for qualified educational institutions, so they are able to subscribe to Microsoft education products.

Verify whether my university is eligible for Azure for Students.

Unfortunately, no one on this community is able to verify if this is the case.

Please can you speak to your universities IT team and ask them if they have a Microsoft education licence/subscription. They can find out how to subscribe here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/commerce/subscriptions/verify-academic-eligibility?view=o365-worldwide

It may also be worth asking them if other students have managed to sign up for the Azure Students subscription.

Review and register my university's email domain if it is missing from the academic database

In order to do this, the university would need to open a support request to Azure through their portal. They should be able to do this using the help & support blade here: https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade

They can use the Azure education support option, providing they have registered here: https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/institutions/contact

In order to use the education support method, linked above, you must be registered on the engage centre to do this. If you are not registered, you will not be able to proceed with opening a support request.

Let me know if manual verification is possible. I can provide my student ID card, enrollment certificate, or any other documents required.

Other people have done manual verification. However, from what I can gather from those individuals, this was offered directly through the Azure Students sign-up form.
