My "Chat with Myself" Profile Disappeared Along with My Files

Hello,

 I used to have two "Chat with Myself" profiles in Microsoft Teams that were automatically created. I regularly used them to send files to myself and keep important documents.

Today, I noticed that one of the profiles has completely disappeared, and all the files that were stored in that chat are also missing.

 I did not delete the chat or the files, and I don't know why this happened.

 Has anyone experienced the same issue? Is there any way to recover the missing "Chat with Myself" profile and the files stored in it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Based on the information you provided, it appears that you are experiencing an issue where your chat with yourself is missing, and you are unable to locate those profiles.

    If your goal is to find files that were previously shared, please open OneDrive and look for the "Microsoft Teams Chat Files" folder. Files shared in Teams 1:1 chats, group chats, or chats with your own profile are typically stored in this folder.

    Could you also let me know whether you have tried accessing Teams via the web app or clearing the Teams cache by following this documentation: Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn. In some cases, Teams may not display certain chats or profiles immediately and may require additional time to load the data.

    If the issue persists after trying the steps above, please temporarily disable any third-party applications running in the background, such as VPNs, antivirus software, or firewalls, and then test again.

    Have you previously used Skype and then migrated to Teams?
