Why can I not see the co-pilot icon in both Excel and Windows. It is switched on in options.

Also in Excel I have a box asking to update my plan, I have not done this as I am not sure what is does.

Many thanks

Gerry

    Hi, Gerry Bowyer

The Excel icon may not actually be missing. The Copilot button was recently moved from the ribbon to the lower-right corner of the workbook. The “Update your plan” box is an offer to change your subscription, not a required Excel update.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Open a blank workbook and look in the lower-right corner for the small Copilot button. Press Alt + C or F6 to bring focus to it. If it appears, right-click it and select Move to ribbon.

Do not select Update your plan until you have reviewed the price and plan details. Check your current subscription at account.microsoft.com/services first.

In Windows, open Start and search for Copilot. If found, right-click it and select Pin to taskbar. If it is not installed, it can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

If the Excel button is still absent, try Excel for the web. This helps determine whether the problem is limited to the installed Excel app.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
