I need help removing a immutable lock on one of our recovery service vaults

Description

Can you please unlock recovery service vault, they are protected by immutability lock. We require the following to be unlocked Onprem-Servers Onprem-Servers This is required so we can delete some older backups for services who have left the organisation.

    I understand that need help in removing an immutable lock on one of our recovery service vaults.

    Based on your confirmation, the vault is currently in the Enabled and Locked state. Under the documented behavior of Azure Backup Immutable Vault, this lock is intended to be permanent and cannot be removed through the Azure portal, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, ARM templates, or the REST API.

    Since you have opened a Microsoft Azure Support case, PCS internal team will determine whether the request is eligible for review by the appropriate engineering team. If the exception process is no longer supported, Support will confirm that the vault must remain locked until the configured backup retention period expires.

    Yes the vault is enabled and locked .

    This can 100% be undone, i've done it before via this link and other times before that.

    This person raised it to the required escalation route in the azure team.. I had to prove it was a genuine request and sign something to say to knew the risks of doing so.....
