I'm trying to programmatically verify that our usage of Office Web Apps is compliant with our licensing posture. I'm hoping to be able to do this by using the Graph API. is this possible?

    Hello @Patrick Magee,

Based on what I could find, Microsoft Graph can provide licensing-related information such as assigned licenses, service plans, and subscribed SKUs, which may help you perform your own entitlement review. However, I was unable to find any Microsoft Graph API that directly determines whether an organization's use of Office for the web (Office Web Apps) is licensing compliant.

For your reference: List licenseDetails - Microsoft Graph v1.0 | Microsoft Learn

Therefore, if your question is whether you can use Graph API to automatically verify and certify that your organization's Office for the web usage is compliant with Microsoft licensing terms, I could not find documentation indicating that this is possible through Graph alone.

For an authoritative answer regarding licensing compliance and supported audit methods, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support or your licensing specialist/reseller. They can confirm whether there is a supported approach for your specific licensing agreement and usage scenario.

    For business support:

    • Find your Microsoft 365 admin: If you don't know who the global admin is in your organization, you can find guidance here: How can I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
    • Submit a service request: The Global Administrator should create a support request with Microsoft to receive advanced technical assistance. For detailed instructions, see: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
    • If your subscription is from a partner or reseller, contact the reseller's support provider to help open a service request on behalf of you instead.

I sincerely apologize for redirecting you to the Microsoft Technical Support Team. While I strive to assist as much as possible here in the forum, my resources are limited when it comes to backend-level diagnostics and advanced troubleshooting.

Thank you, and please let me know if you need any further assistance.
