How to get the reasons Microsoft wasn't able to verify my startup

Hello

I am a participant of Microsoft Startup program. Currently I am on Milestone 1, and submitted information for verification of my startup for getting to Milestone 2. However, portal is showing me a message saying:

**We couldn’t verify your startup.**We’ll switch you to a pay-as-you-go subscription once your original $1,000 in credits run out or expire.

There is no other information on how to correct the issue preventing the verification, or who to contact for support.

Question: What can I do to get the verification complete and get to Milestone 2?

Azure | Azure Startups
Azure | Azure Startups

Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.

Thanks, however I am not even seeing any "overview" or "Your Microsoft Team" links on Startup Homepage.

The verification failure message is generic and does not provide the specific rejection reason in the portal. The supported next step is to contact Microsoft for Startups Program Support through the Azure portal.

    Steps:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. Go to the startup homepage.
    3. In Overview, find Your Microsoft Team.
    4. Select Get program support.
    5. Submit a request for startup verification or benefit/credit progression help.

    Program Support can help with:

    • program onboarding
    • Azure credit activation
    • benefit redemption
    • billing profile issues
    • entitlement corrections
    • portal access problems

For milestone progression, progress is evaluated on recent activity and sustained usage patterns, not one-time spikes. For higher tiers, usage must be consistent over time, and once the requirement is met, the credit limit is automatically increased.

If the issue is specifically about Azure service outages, production debugging, architecture design, or performance tuning, that is out of scope for Microsoft for Startups Program Support and should go through standard Azure Support instead.
