Hello,

I'm posting here as a last resort. So I really hope I can get a solution. I've been having trouble signing into my Microsoft Exchange account for about a week. There are no humans to help with microsoft exchange. The only help availavble is if I sign into my account, then get help. So if you can't sign in there is zero help available.

I changed my username last week. Big mistake. Now I can't sign in for some reason. I created a new account and tried to register my email to that account. But that doesn't work. The domain is locked ti the exsiting account I can't sign into to.

In summary. How on earth does one sign into their Microsoft Exchange account if the username or email is not being accepted. I need some sort of account recovery procedure

Hope someone can help. Microsoft is terrible. There is no one available from Microsoft help.

    Dear @Ben Seeger,

I’m sorry to hear you've been experiencing this issue, especially when access to your account is preventing you from getting support.

Based on your description, it sounds like the problem may be related to the recent username change. If the original email address is no longer being accepted or appears to be associated with an account you cannot access, Microsoft does provide account recovery options, but the process is largely automated for security reasons.

To better understand the situation, could you please clarify the following?

    1. Is this a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account managed by an organization?
    2. Could you please clarify when you attempt to sign in, what exact error message do you receive?
    3. Please take a screenshot of the issue you're experiencing so I can better assist you.

If this is a work or school account, the recovery path is different and typically requires assistance from your organization's Microsoft 365 administrator.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I am looking forward to your response!
