Azure AI Foundry – Unable to deploy Azure OpenAI models due to regional capacity error

Hi,

I'm using a Microsoft-provided Azure AI Foundry lab environment for hands-on learning.

When deploying an Azure OpenAI model, every deployment attempt fails with the following error:

This operation cannot be completed because there are currently no available resources in the selected region. Please try another region or try again later.

I retried multiple times, used the regions available in the lab environment, and waited before trying again, but the result was the same.

My questions are:

• Is this a known Azure AI Foundry or Azure OpenAI capacity issue?
• Is there a recommended workaround when the lab subscription only allows specific regions?
• Has anyone else experienced this recently?

I'm not looking for assessment answers—only trying to determine whether this is a platform or lab provisioning issue.
