How do I keep the gallery view on my microsoft list in my team channel tab

I have made a gallery view my default view in my team channel tab, but when I open a document in the tab and then closes it again, then the view changes to list. I need to reload the page to get the tab back into the gallery view. How can I ensure that the gallery view stays.

Thank you for the update. I tested the scenario on my end and was unable to reproduce the behavior, both on Teams Web and Teams desktop.

To help us investigate further, could you please provide the following information?

Just to clarify, you choose option to edit in Teams right?
Does the issue occur in the Teams desktop app, Teams web app, or both?
If you are using the Teams desktop app, please provide your Teams version (Settings and more (...) > About > Version).
Does the issue occur in all channels/libraries or only a specific one?
Are other users experiencing the same behavior?
Could you let us know what type of file you're opening (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.), as I tested with a Word document and was unable to reproduce the behavior?

This information will help determine whether the issue is related to the Teams client, the SharePoint library configuration, or a channel-specific setting. I look forward for your response.

I use the teams desktop app.
I happens in all channels
User experience the same issue

Since PDF files can only be opened in the browser or in-app viewer, could you please confirm whether the view changes from Gallery to List when opening the PDF in the browser, in-app, or both?

Additionally, if this behavior affects multiple users in your organization, we recommend contacting your IT administrator and asking them to open a support ticket with Microsoft so the issue can be investigated further.

Thanks for your update.

I tested on my side, and it did not turn the view into List. I recommend you raise your concern to IT admin, consider open a support ticket if necessary.
