Is it possible to edit the column properties of entire folders while in 'List View' of a document library, ?

I've just added a new custom column into my document library and I'm trying to figure out how I would enter/assign values within this column to better organize my folders while in list view.

For example, if within my document library I have several folders dedicated to different work projects and I then create a column called 'Team Owners' with the idea of sorting these folders by the different people on my team who manage these projects -- how can I then input the names of those team owners into that column at the folder level?

I've already tried to edit the column settings where I've entered the values for my drop-down choices. However, it seems that those column properties are limited to individual files and I want to utilize it for entire folders within my library.

Hi NMC_817

To assign a value to your Team Owners column for a folder, please follow these steps:

-Open the document library.

-Select Edit in grid view.

-Locate the folder you want to update.

-Enter or select a value in the Team Owners column for that folder.

-Exit Grid View to save your changes.

This will allow you to sort, filter, and group folders based on the values assigned in the Team Owners column.

I hope this helps. If I have misunderstood your requirements, please let me know and I will be happy to assist further.
