After the latest update, it has made my computer really slow. It takes about 3 minutes to load the desktop (I don't have many shortcuts on it, don't keep folders on there, and the recycling bin is empty). Then I noticed I was struggling to open photos. You can open it, but the app freezes. I had this exact photo issue maybe a year ago with another update but totally forgot how I resolved it and can't find my searches in my history annoyingly. I was going to try and redownload the app, but the app store wont even load. I emptied the recycling bin thinking maybe that may help but when I restarted it, I would be stuck on the Windows 11 update pop up, but it wouldn't even load, it was just stuck on the blue box waiting to load that. I managed to get around it by booting up on airplane made thinking it wouldn't ask to update if there was no connection, and it worked.

I tried looking into the folder issue which was growing in size that I saw reported before, but it doesn't seem I have that issue. I couldn't see it anyway. My Disk Drive is kinda full, which I wasn't sure if it was THAT full, but I still have 75gb of storage left on it. I couldn't see anything crazy in my Task Manager. I tried wsrestart, I've tried the sfc scannow. I don't know what else to look for and try. I have no idea what's going on.

I'm on Windows 10 Home 22H2. If there's any other additional information you need to help, more than happy to supply it.

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

Based on your inputs, it seems that there is an underlying issue why the PC performance is slow. In addition, can you please check the System logs on the PC so I can further examine the root cause of the issue?

To share the System logs, please follow the steps in the link below:

Press the Windows key + X, then select "Event Viewer"

Click the drop-down of "Windows logs"

Right-click System > click Filter Current logs > Check: Critical, Warning, and Error > Hit OK

On the right pane, click "Save Filtered Log File As..."

Save the System logs file to your desktop and share it by following the steps from the link:

Note: You can also use your preferred cloud storage to upload and share the logs.
