Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

May I please know if your battery stops charging at around 85–90%?

Many laptop manufacturers intentionally limit the maximum charge level to help preserve the battery health.

If this is what you’re seeing, your power settings may be set to Balanced mode. You can adjust these settings in the provided app (like MyAsus or Dell PowerManager,etc..) or open the BIOS settings and check the Power Management (or a similar) tab to see if there are options to set custom charge thresholds.

Note that limiting the charge below 90% will improve your battery health over time.

If you are having issues, share the make and model of your laptop. I will provide the next steps for you to adjust the battery settings.

You can also type msinfo in the search bar on the taskbar and click Enter.

Post a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.
