How to find communities or channels

I can find info on setting up a channel or community, but not how to find ones already set up or with their name..

Please advise as to how i do this

Communities cannot be searchable because all communities are now Private. The option to create public communities is no longer available.

Can I still make my Teams Free community public or searchable?

While creating or updating your community, if a Public option appears, the toggle setting will keep the community as private. All communities in Teams Free are private by default and will no longer appear in searches and recommendations. To share your community, you can invite members directly.

    so how are you supposed to find people who share the same interests so you can join their community?

    Surly there is a search option for all the communities on Teams!

    Hello

    If you are using Teams with personal account, you will find the community tab, click on that, and you can create community from there. Once a community is created, as owner, you can create up to 5 channels in the community.

    If for any reason you cannot find it, tell me what OS do you use your Teams on, Windows 11, or MacOS, or phone for example? If you are using a work/school account, you will NOT find this option.

    You will not be able to search for existing communities. You need their owner to send you the invite link in order to join one.
