Can you please assist with cancellation of a trial Microsoft app service which must be cancelled prior to August 1, 2026?

Microsoft technologies.

My name is [Moderator note: personal info removed]. Apparently, I signed up for a trial Microsoft account for my granddaughter who attends a public high school in [Moderator note: personal info removed] Public Schools in Virginia. I received a reminder today that I will be charged $122 unless I end my trial subscription prior to the first of August 2026. I am writing to attempt to end this trial subscription and not renew. My granddaughter is out of the area at this time and I don't know if she will need this app for this school year. Please advise what else I need to do. The billing charge card number you have on file appears to be incorrect also. I cannot afford an additional $122 payment for an app service she may not need. Many thanks for your assistance. Please advise.

My gmail service is currently in jeopardy of being closed because of lack of storage space.

    Hi June Murphy

To review the subscription status and stop any future renewal, please sign in with the Microsoft account that was used to start the trial and follow this article:

Since your granddaughter attends a public high school, it may also be worth checking with the school before renewing or purchasing a personal subscription. Many educational institutions provide Microsoft 365 Education licenses to students. Microsoft offers Office 365 Education A1 at no cost to eligible schools, although the services available to students depend on the school's licensing and deployment.

If the school provides a Microsoft 365 Education account in the future, school-related documents may be stored within the school's Microsoft 365 environment (such as the school's OneDrive) rather than a personal Microsoft account. The available features and storage options depend on the school's configuration and licensing.
