Is it possible to follow someone just by searching their tag name?

I see there's an option to follow, but when searching a name tag it's not possible to find the person.

    Are you talking about users here in this Q&A forum? I saw your question is posted in "Microsoft Teams Free" product tag, but Teams doesn't have follow feature.

    If it is regarding the forum here, then the answer is no, search doesn't yield result for user.
