I'm not able to sign in with GroupMe since it won't send me verification number to my email addy. I need to sign in to my account since I use for Bible class. I hope a person can help me. Also, how do I find topics I started.

Did you check your Junk or Spam email folder to see if the verification code for your GroupMe login ended up there?

When signing in with your email or phone number and using your password, Microsoft will send the verification code to both your phone number and your email address. Are you not receiving the verification code on either of these options?

If so, please try connecting your device to a different Wi‑Fi network, such as a mobile hotspot, and use an incognito/private browsing window in your web browser to see if you are able to sign in.

Something was changed and you can't ask it to send to email addy anymore. Only to phone. I don't have smart phone. I have my son's phone there, but notification turned off for phone. Can you fix it so it will send verification to my email addy again? Or can I change phone to someone else. Also, I'm didn't get notified you posted comment.

hello,

Did you check your mobile phone and make sure it isn't blocking texts from unknown numbers?

Check the blocked sender lists. If you see a Microsoft number in the lists, just delete it and try requesting the verification code again.

Alternatively, you can switch the Wi-Fi network to a mobile hotspot network on your PC and request the verification code. Sometimes the block may be tied to a specific Wi-Fi network you are connected to.

I do not have a mobile phone. I can't text or get texts. This needs to be sent to my email addy like it was a couple of weeks ago. I can't change phone number either to another one. Please send me a verification number so I can sign in.

I need options. you can sign in with google or apple. Does verification go to that account.

Also, I'm still not getting notified when someone responds.

It appears that you have enabled two-step verification, where the verification code is sent to your registered mobile number and cannot be changed.

When you first enable two-step verification, you are given a backup code. Did you receive or save this backup code when you set up two-factor authentication?

If you have the backup code, please enter it to sign in to your account.

You may not be able to sign in to that account without the Backup code or the Verification code sent to your phone number.

Regarding your question, Microsoft support is provided by teams located in different regions around the world. So, the person you chat with may or may not be based in the US.
