Clarification on Deploying Custom Microsoft 365 Agents Across Multiple Tenants

As part of our multi-tenant Agent 365 implementation, we would like to understand how custom agents can be deployed across different Microsoft 365 tenants.

If we build a custom Agent 365 package and share it with users in another tenant, will it work directly on that tenant, or are there any additional configuration or onboarding steps required?

This information will help us design our multi-tenant deployment strategy for custom Agent 365 solutions.

    Hi  @Akshay Babar

    Thank you for reaching out.

Based on my research, I have not found Microsoft documentation confirming that a custom Microsoft 365 Agent package can be shared directly with users in a separate Microsoft 365 tenant and operate immediately without additional setup. The documentation I reviewed describes agent sharing only within the same organization and does not document a supported cross-tenant deployment or distribution model for Microsoft 365 Agents. For this reason, I cannot confirm that a custom Microsoft 365 Agent will work directly in another tenant simply by sharing the package.

However, I have found a few relevant articles that may help address your concern. You could refer via:

Apologies for redirecting you to the related development team support. As moderators in this community, we do not have access to your specific tenant configuration, and my testing environment is limited. Therefore, my guidance is based on available Microsoft documentation and resources. That said, I’ll do my best to provide additional insight where possible.
