I get this error when trying to publish an Office addon:

"Your account is not currently eligible to publish to the marketplace. To enable publishing, review your account settings and follow the instructions to resolve any issues. Learn more"

Clicking "account settings" gives a page that says "Sorry, we couldn't find that page. Click here and try again"

What to do?

This is for the account "[Moderator note: personal info removed].onmicrosoft.com"

I have a VS Pro subscription and a 365 Business subscriptions under "[Moderator note: personal info removed]@outlook.com"

    Hi @Bjorn Backlund

Based on the details you shared, I understand that you are running into a roadblock while trying to publish your Office Add-in. Specifically, you are receiving an account eligibility error when publishing from your onmicrosoft.com account, and the "account settings" link provided in the error message is broken, leading to a "page not found" screen.

This issue is not related to your add-in's code or manifest; rather, it is a configuration and verification issue within the Microsoft Partner Center. Please note that having a Visual Studio Professional or Microsoft 365 Business subscription under a personal @outlook.com account does not automatically grant publishing rights, as personal accounts are not supported for Marketplace publisher enrollment.

This error usually means the Partner Center publisher account is not yet eligible for Microsoft Marketplace publishing. Please sign in with the Microsoft Entra work/school account used for the publisher profile, then go directly to Partner Center > Settings > Account settings and check the Developer/Legal profile verification status. Also confirm that the publisher is enrolled in the Microsoft 365 and Copilot program and that your account has Owner permissions. The broken “account settings” link appears to be a portal/link issue, so use the direct Partner Center Marketplace dashboard instead. If verification or domain authentication is pending or unclear, raise a Partner Center support ticket under Commercial Marketplace.

While you wait for Partner Center to clear your account eligibility, you can still fully test your add-in by sideloading it directly into your Office applications, so your development progress isn't blocked.

    Thank you for your patience.
