How do I see notes from a recurring Teams Meeting

2026-07-06T12:22:22.8+00:00

Hi,

I have a recurring Teams Meeting and I use the Notes section for my agenda, why do the notes disappear each week? I also want to use Loop but it doesn't keep an ongoing agenda.

Thank you.

    Hi Fournarakis, Angela L

After conducting my testing, I would like to share the insights I have gathered so far.

    Scenario 1

    1. Create a recurring meeting.
    2. Do not add a Loop component or agenda to the meeting invitation.
    3. Start the first occurrence of the meeting.
    4. Take notes in the Notes section during the meeting.

Based on my testing, after the first occurrence, a Loop component is created automatically. However, the Loop component does not appear in the following week's occurrence.

That said, when I open a future occurrence in the series, the notes themselves are still carried forward and remain available within the meeting's Notes section.

    Scenario 2

    1. Create a recurring meeting.
    2. Add a Loop agenda when creating the meeting series.
    3. Start the first occurrence.
    4. Take notes in the Notes section during the meeting.

In this scenario, the Loop agenda does not update in future occurrences. Instead, it continues to display the content that was originally added when the recurring series was created.

Additionally, when I modify the Notes section during different occurrences, only the first occurrence appears to synchronize with the Loop component.

If I update the Loop content in the first occurrence, the meeting notes update accordingly.

However, if I update the Loop content in a future occurrence, the Notes section for that meeting does not update. I also do not see those changes reflected in the Loop component or notes of the first occurrence.

    Summary

Based on my testing, the Notes section does appear and remain available across future occurrences of the recurring meeting.

However, the behavior of the Loop component does not appear to be consistent at this time, as changes do not always synchronize between occurrences in the same way.

I hope these findings provide some additional insight. I would appreciate any updates you may have regarding your experience.
